Current Fee - Based on Construction Value

Effective May 1, 2019, the fees for commercial, retail, restaurant, industrial, office or apartment building new construction will be calculated based on the construction value of the project. Fees are detailed in the village fee schedule.

Submittal Requirements

• Submit a commercial permit application through the OpenGov Permit Portal. 

• Construction and Demolition Waste Management Plan

Required Inspections

• Rough framing
• If project includes electrical work, a rough electrical inspection is required.
• Final inspection

All inspections require a 24 hour minimum advanced notice. Schedule inspections up to 4 p.m. on the business day prior to the requested inspection date by submitting a request through the Permit Portal or calling Permit Services at 847-923-4420.
