Public Health and Safety
Village of Schaumburg's Community Development Department and Fire Department regularly inspect ALL businesses and food facilities to ensure codes are being followed from a food and fire safety perspective. If you notice a code violation please help our team by reporting it through online Customer Service Request or by phone, Dial 311.
Health Division
Community Development Department's Health Division conducts routine unannounced inspections of all establishments holding a food license to prevent the spread of foodborne illness. A health promotional approach is provided to train our food handlers on safe food handling practices. Relevant food safety training is created and provided on an as needed or requested basis. Please contact our office to request these services at 847-923-3700.
We also offer environmental and safety inspections of Daycare Centers, ensure compliance with sanitary standards at Body Care Establishments, assist with multi-departmental responses to Hazardous Home Sites and investigate other Public Health concerns in both residential homes and commercial facilities.
