signThe Chicago Athenaeum was founded in 1988 as the nation's only independent museum of architecture and design. It is dedicated to the art of design in all areas of the discipline, architecture, industrial and product design, graphics and urban planning. The Museum's mission is to enhance public education about the value of good design and how it positively impacts our human and built environment.

Located on 20 acres of meadow and forest, the International Sculpture Park represents the Athenaeum's expansion in Schaumburg. This cultural resource includes the art of international and American sculptors chosen to fit the natural environment of this beautiful site.

Launch our interactive map to find out information about each piece of artwork and its location, allowing you to map out your journey through the International Sculpture Park. We encourage you to visit all of the sculptures in person.
