The Village of Schaumburg is committed to restoring and enhancing the environment in which we live, work, and play. We encourage you to explore the Landscaping section of our website. Here you will find green ideas such as creating your own rain garden to recycling events and information. Updates are posted for our mulch program as well as our progress and management plan for combating the Emerald Ash Borer.
The Village has preserved several open spaces for the use of its residents, including the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center Grounds, Olde Schaumburg Centre Park, and Plum Grove Park.
In addition, in an effort spearheaded by the Village, the Schaumburg Park District has preserved several natural areas throughout Schaumburg including Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary and Spring Valley Heritage Farm.
