The Village of Schaumburg in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards divides its financial operations into funds. Of these funds, the General Fund is the primary corporate fund. It accounts for the majority of expenditures for the purpose of providing direct services to the community. The Village's fiscal year runs from May 1 to April 30. During the months of May and June the Village works on adjustments to the previous fiscal year prior to conducting our annual audit. Once these accounting adjustments are made the fiscal year can be closed and the information on this page for the previous fiscal year and the projected information for the current year is updated.
