Adult Citizen Police Academy
Registration for the Fall Citizen Police Academy has closed, as we have reached our maximum number of participants.
Please look for information regarding our spring Citizen Police Academy this winter.
The Citizen Police Academy has proven to be a very popular program within our Community Policing efforts. Residents and members of businesses will be given the opportunity to meet and interact on a personal level with many members of the Schaumburg Police Department.
You will be exposed to many facets of law enforcement with class topics that are both interesting and informative. The experience is not limited to classroom lecture alone. You will be given the opportunity to participate in firearms training, practice mock traffic stops and conduct room searches.
We hope you will consider joining us for an upcoming session of the Schaumburg Citizen Police Academy. We hold a spring and fall session every year.
- Each CPA session runs for 10-weeks with classes held on Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- You need to attend 75 percent of the sessions to be eligible to graduate and join our Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.
Through the Citizen Police Academy, we hope to provide an environment that will help foster relationships between the police and community. It is our desire that the graduates will become partners with us in identifying problems and solutions to quality of life issues that face our community. For additional information, contact Lt. Elliot Rose at (847) 348-7043.
