In years past, the village had provided an electrical contractor examination to qualify to be a licensed electrician. In 2012, the Village Board determined the examination would no longer be offered, but that existing certificate holders may continue to renew their certificates indefinitely.

Renewal notices are sent approximately six weeks in advance of the expiration date shown on the licensed electrician's certificate. Licenses are renewed for three years at the renewal rate shown on the Village Fee Schedule.

Once renewal notices are received, licenses can be renewed and paid online with a credit card. Access our WebPay page and choose Electrical Registration Renewal. If licenses are not renewed and the fee paid by the due date shown on the renewal, the license will be inactivated and may not be renewed.
