The Village of Schaumburg will periodically experience water main breaks which could cause water outages and road closures. If additional information is needed, dial 311, and Customer Service Representatives will assist you.

Water Pressure

Some residents might experience slightly lower water pressure as a result of a water main break. Normal water pressure will be restored upon completion of the repair. Water quality will not be affected from the lower water pressure.

Water Outage

Residents may experience a water outage during the repair of a water main break. Village crews will notify customers affected by the water shutoff by going door-to-door telling them to prepare for a water outage. Customers who do not answer will receive a door hanger on their front door.
