Earth Hour
Beginning in 2008, the World Wildlife Fund asked individuals, businesses, governments, and organizations around the world to turn off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - to make a global statement of concern about climate change and to demonstrate their commitment to finding solutions. The Village of Schaumburg Environmental Committee supports participation in this effort to “Turn off and take action.”
Environmental Fair
Every spring, the Environmental Committee partners with Spring Valley Nature Center and Schaumburg Township Library to present an environmental fair with educational programming, activities, and exhibitors from local environmental groups. The next event will take place in June 2023.
