Learn from landscape professional Sue Cubberly how to design and plant your own rain garden to absorb excess rainwater. Participants can bring photographs of their yards for a personal consultation.
Exhibitors representing local environmental organizations will be on hand with information and be available to answer questions about their programs and projects. Coloring and activity books will be provided for children. Enter a drawing for a free rain barrel and test your knowledge with rain garden trivia.
The event is offered in partnership with the Schaumburg Park District and the Schaumburg Township District Library's Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff: Read, Renew, Repeat.
