The village will be hosting a spring community Emergency Management and Cyber Safety Awareness workshop from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Ct. Presenters include the village’s Emergency Manager, Police Department personnel and Information Technology management. Topics include:

• Emergency Management and what it does for the village
• How residents can prepare for emergencies
• Common internet scams and how to spot them
• Ways to keep you and your family safe from predators online
